I was interviewed by the county 4H robotics club this morning. I tried to offer an analogy of what my job as a logistics/transportation manager on a Red Cross disaster response entails and I used this as example.
Does anyone out there even do things like this any more?

Hoo boy, I haven't seen plate spinning in DECADES. Probably not since Ed Sullivan, or maybe some juggling show.

We went to "Splendid China" years ago (The Chinese government ordered it closed not too long after) and they were doing plate spinning, but no, I haven't seen it recently.
No one uses China plates anymore. Disposable is so much easier...

I know professional jugglers who still do plate spinning.
I always described my job as Supervisor at DMV as spinning plates. So glad I'm retired now.
