Yesterday I read that more school kids have died by gunfire than active-duty police officers. When it is more dangerous to go to school than it is the walk a beat, something is *seriously* wrong.
When Jesus said, "Allow the little children to come unto Me", I don't think He meant we should send them to Heaven any earlier than necessary.
As a resident of CT, Sandy Hook is 40 minuties from me and still fresh. The utter B.S. of "mental illness" not semi-automatic weapons in civilan hands infuriates me beyond words.
One's pleasure in waving a gun around does not trump the rights of children and their teachers to live. How can anyone think that way? It just boggles the mind.
The blinding hypocrisy of the NRA convention being held this weekend banning guns is stunning. Are they afraid that some fatherless person or a mentally ill person will get in through an unlocked back door or do they actually realize that guns kill people?
