We call them "ditty bags" in theater. Make 2 pockets so the microphone goes in 1 and any jewelry assigned goes in the other. Plus a great beginning sewing project to assess skill sets.

I use empty gallon milk bottles to hold my clothespins. I slice it through where the handle meets to body of the jug, and then draw an opening on the opposite corner, as a guide when I cut it out. (I've found cutting freehand is not a good idea.)
