One stray kitten I adopted had climbed the wall to the second floor of an old apt building in the driving rain, got in through an open window, and plunked herself in on the bed where she sat cleaning up. The girl who rented the apt wanted to toss her back out, so I grabbed the kitten and left. A couple of cats have arrived on my porch after having been abandoned. I'd love to give some people a swift kick. All my furbabies have been strays or given up to shelters.

Five of our six furbabies (including all the cats) we got from a shelter or rescue.
Cats knew when my mom put out the cosmic "Welcome Mat". 8 of her last 9 cats used the mat to come into the family.
