my tuxedo brother (15lbs) and his sister (7lbs) used to mess with plants. she quickly learned to leave them be after being squirted and would zip away if i reached for the squirter. he sort of learned, but at times would sit by a plant until i noticed him, then lean over and bite a leaf, just a bite, and give me that same glare as that kitty, daring me to squirt him. of course, i did, and he would glare at me for a couple more seconds while i squirted before departing in as casual a manner as a damp cat can. they are characters.
Half of my plants - the toxic ones - are on top of the china cupboard. The others are in front of the dining room window and so far don't seem to taste good to the foster fail.

Have to catch them in the act to accuse. So says Little Miss Maine Coon, who chomps on any plant like material to check for tastyness.
