Parents Should Not Be Burying Their Children.

Baldur (and several others from our group) was in attendance at a student support event at Illinois Wesleyan University after the mass shooting this weekend.

As someone once wrote (I believe Bruce Catton, but I can't find the quote now), it is a perversion of the natural order of things.

so sorry for your community.
405 mass shootings so far this year in the US as of Oct 31? 36 on K-12 grounds, 16 on college campuses. criteria of course vary, but one parent burying one child killed by gun violence is one thousand too many.

8 casualties, 1 fatality. I think the oldest was 21.

THank you for going there to help. I live near Sandy Hook, so these stories infuriate me.

Maybe, maybe having elected officials who are younger and have school aged children will get us some sensible gun laws. I'm out to "take away your guns" but a country that has more guns than people - and lots of folks don't own any - has some serious problems.
