Overheard Outside the Public Library This Evening

Woman in car (calling through the window to a pink-haired teenaged girl in shredded clothes): “Behave yourself!”

Pink-haired teen (sullenly): It’s the library. It’s not like I have a choice.

It's not the librarians...I think she's more worried about that burly ex-cop that they hired as a security guard.

Hahaha. Love it.

We could have used the burly guy the other day, tho. ;) The teens weren't being bad; they were just being overly exuberant. It was rather nice that they were enjoying the library. We all just let them have fun. Who wants people to hate a library?

Actually, we don't have to be quiet in our library. It is such a gathering place for people to meet, greet, and visit that the "quiet thing" flew out the window years ago.
