That's My Boy

Smitty being Smitty, he didn't tell us about this.

You will note that this is in addition to spending 40 hours per week working for me (which some might say merits hazardous duty pay). He is also an EMT, and by the end of the year he should have his IPEM certification, something that most people take a couple of years to do (I'm still working on my PDS).

I've threatened to start calling him "Sarge."

Holy Crap. Makes one feel insignificant or unworthy or like a complete underachiever, doesn't he? I'm impressed. Good looking young man, too.

And sweet. He came into my office last week and asked rather diffidently if he could have an extra half hour for lunch because his mother came to visit and he wanted to take her someplace nice to eat.

Does someone out there have a really deserving and unattached niece or daughter? This lad needs a girlfriend!

Yes he DOES need a girl friend...and some time off...
I too feel unworthy compared to Sarge even if I do work full time and am the Costume Designer/Teacher/Curatro for a local high school....

Ha! How about two nieces and a daughter? All three are in their twenties, pretty, smart, talented and well-educated. (Ooo, that sounds rather conceited and boastful. Sorry.) However, I'm not sure how deserving they are. They're extremely independent. LOL
