Little Grey Bungalow
We had an Open House last Sunday afternoon - about 40 people coming and going - and every time you spoke to the dog, he flopped down into a position exactly like that dog. Mortifying, that's what it was! (Or maybe I'm just a prude.)
I have a cat that does that, the old 'rub my belly or you shall not pass' move. I'll take that over conspicuous licking of nether parts in the presence of company.
We call the nether part cleaning, "Playing the Cello" in our house. Meant the nearest human needed to distract or remove said cat from company's line of sight. With two Maine Coons - we are often given that back flop to show off the expansive line of floof.
Sam, at least with a cat the tummy is generally covered with "floof". Not so male dogs!
Floof! Now that's a word and a half.
Sam, we call that Cello-playing here, as well.
