That was hysterical! Southern girl here (we are supposed to be in the high 60's low 70's next week) and I have been around a lot of those people. I went to Pentecostal church once with a friend, that was an experience! Preacher doing the sermon was funny, but deadpan and the pew I sat in was shaking because I was trying sooo hard not to laugh out loud! Love me some Lutherans, confused, unsure, and still haven't decided what they believe in. And now they've gone Evangelical, lol.

Raised by a Missouri-Synod-by-God-Lutheran mother but my dad was an Episcopal priest. Both liturgical, but Episcopalians are more fun. And yes, the Lutherans DO take notes!

I thin we were Missouri Synod back, but it's evangelical now here. We definitely took notes when I was in confirmation, whooo boy. We had to sit in the front row next to my two great aunts, very much Church Ladies. Aunt Louise could freeze water and twenty paces! And God forbid if pastor called your name out for misbehaving during the service. Not only embarrassing but you knew what would happen when you got home.
