Patterns of the Past - Ties and Socks

As advertised in McCall's Needlework and Crafts, Summer 1950 - you could order a kit and pattern from Fleischer's to knit your boyfriend a spiffy pair of Argyle socks or a tie. If you started right away they might even be finished by Valentine's Day.

If you could knit. And if you had a boyfriend. And if you didn't believe in the curse.

I love the patterns that you post! Always something to look forward to.

Do you want a chiengora (dog/angora) blend? Didn't quite get your comment on my post.

Fuzzy-lady, I should have put a smiley face on it...I forget on the Internet it's hard to tell when someone is kidding!

Our dogs shed...constantly. They need a lot of brushing (kind of like bunnies) and produce a lot of fluff (kind of like bunnies). But I doubt it would make good knitting fiber and I don't think you'd want to spin it :-)

In all the years I've knitted I'd never heard of the curse LOL and I've knitted my hub lots of sweathers,.. I guess I just got lucky to not be cursed.
