Crochet - a Pinafore for Kitchen Duty

From Workbasket magazine, June 1950, a crocheted pinafore to use in the kitchen as either a washcloth or (maybe?) a potholder. Instructions on my Flickr account.

Adorable but too cute to use.. I'd hang it on the stove handle but my luck hub would use it to wipe up paint spills :-)

Cute, but maybe not very practical?

Not in the least bit practical. I put this in the same category as the plastic dolls with the crocheted hoopskirts that hid toilet paper rolls!

So cute!!! I have two of these from my grandmother's estate. They are white with red trim. One was used as a dishcloth, the other unused. I used them to dress some sock dolls I made. (Made from black socks, the dolls had corn-row hair made with braided yarn and beads. I suppose they would be considered racist, but I think they were really cute.)
