Quote of the Day

(h/t to TYWKIWDBI)

Second-hand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack. ~ Virginia Woolf

Cool picture and a great quote.

Do you think making a wall and and arch would actually work? Or, do you think the dogs would just knock it down? Just kidding, of course. With my luck, the book I needed the most would wind up being the keystone in the the arch or at the very bottom of the wall. The dogs would knock it down, and/or the cats would scratch their claws on it and try to climb it.

Random, but there is the most wonderful used book store in Pullman, WA. Not huge or fancy, but a dream come true. What a way to spend lots of money! Within five minutes, I had so many books gathered up that it took two of us to get them to the car. (I've never made it past the front half of the store!)

I wonder if there's some glue and/or engineer stakes involved.
