Vintage Images - Newell's Bakery and Restaurant

I have no idea where I got this -- it may have fallen out of a recently-purchased vintage cookbook.  Look at those prices!

I've never seen salmon and cheese sandwich on a menu, or celery soup (which I love) on a menu before. Salmon and cheese?

I'd guess 1955 or so for this menu. The prices - by today's standards - are incredible, but a man could support a wife and two kids on $5,000 a year back then.

Well...the price of coffee went up to ten cents around 1950, and Bell Telephone started implementing standard three digit telephone exchanges after 1955...so I think you're pretty darn close.
