Just A Coincidence


The Statue Of Liberty went dark last night for about an hour. A National Park Service spokesperson said that it was caused by routine generator maintenance, and had nothing to do with "A Day Without Women."

Now, THAT'S a likely story! Of *course* she took the day off, too.

She needed the darkness to weep a few tears. Then like all women, she put her lights back on and went forth.

Or, perhaps a female engineer helped a bit. Someone could sell posters of that shot. I've never seen a picture of Lady Liberty dark.
