Patterns of the Past - Hotpads!

Readers of Modern Knitting magazine in 1950 could send away for these potholder patterns. It's a pity they're no longer available; I'd make one to match my cow-shaped teakettle.

I know! There is a fan quilt pattern that was offered by mail that I've tried to find for ages. No luck. I've been told that most of those kinds of things were destroyed when they weren't sold. A pity.

Aww, those are freaking ADORABLE! Are you going to try to recreate them? It would be awesome if you did, and showed us the results.

Miss Kitty, I'll work on a pansy hotpad pattern if you promise to learn to sew so you can make it ;-)
