Schadenfreude

I admit, I'd like to see this myself (courtesy Popehat).

HA! I'm with you on this one. The wife has said that she's not concerned about his career and she'll be fine, so maybe there's some fight in her after all.

Of course she'll be fine. Her family owns Skil Corporation. I just wonder why she didn't give him the boot long ago.

My favorite line?

"The children — our daughters — will learn that being a woman and a wife does not mean standing around all docile while some sociopath shits on them. Our daughters will learn that a woman stands up."

loved the post, I would also like to see a political wife ( is that really a complimentary term?) tell the truth. Then maybe these idiots would realize that it isn't all about them

Oh, I don't know...I've always figured a "political wife" has a bit of their own ambition too. I mean, I haven't seen a politician yet I'd like to be friends with, let alone marry (usually I go by who I dislike the least). So I assume that the relationship is not your standard "marry for love" kind -- at least not in this day age. This whole Sanford thing isn't really shocking, but the song and dance of his silly alibi was unique -- rather pathetic, actually.

As much as I hate painting politicians with such a broad brush, if one comes to my attention that is the exception, I'll be happy to retract my opinion.
